Calling all bettors and cricket fans, this cricket news is for you. After a long delay, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has finally made a move to kickstart the Indian domestic cricket season as early as this month with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021.
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is India’s domestic T20 tournament. With 38 participating teams, split into six groups, the tournament is expected to last for 21 days. Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 is set to start at 12 PM this Jan 10 with its final game take place on Jan 31.
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 will be played in seven venues: Bengaluru, Kolkata, Vadodara, Indore, Chennai, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
The tournament was originally scheduled to run from 19 November to December 7, 2020. But due to the health restriction in the country, BCCI decided to delay the domestic cricket season along with the other cricket tournaments.
This event is going to be a good start not only for the Indian fans but also for those people around the world who are itching for cricket betting action.
Big names and veterans are expected to show up in this season such as Suresh Raina, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishant Sharma, and Sreesanth who just returned for competitive cricket this year. Celebrated Indian cricket team stars Shikhar Dhawan, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Dinesh Karthik are also expected to be in this cricket tournament.
The performance of each player in this year’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be an opportunity for them to showcase their skills and for the auction process for the IPL tournament 2021. It is certain that players will look to perform well and impress the IPL teams and acquire them.
As for the IPL auction itself, BCCI has yet to announce how the process would go. What we know is that there are going to be mini auctions that will happen in mid-February.
While BCCI already issued an announcement for Syed Mushtaq Ali Cricket Trophy 2021 and other domestic cricket tournaments in the country, there are no cricket updates from the official about the Ranji trophy.
The Ranji trophy is the oldest domestic cricket tournament in India. The tournament has been running for over 80 years now.
